Installation Preparation FAQ
How should I prepare my vehicle for installation?
Make Your Vehicle Wrap Ready
Timing the Drop Off
Your vehicle must be dropped off on time. To ensure timely turnaround, it’s important that your vehicle is dropped off on time. Our shop’s fast schedule relies on getting vehicles prepared for install promptly. Late drop offs can result in delayed turnarounds, or even late fees.
You are more than welcome to drop off the vehicle(s) early. In the event of a cancellation or another vehicle is not Wrap Ready, there is a chance we can start on your vehicle earlier than scheduled.
Wash & Prep Your Ride – Vehicle must be washed ahead of time
To avoid additional fees or delays, please wash your vehicle same day as you drop it off. A basic car wash with no wax or a scrub down with Dawn dish soap is acceptable. If you have existing vinyl or adhesive on the vehicle, please make sure to have it removed prior to drop off. Remember, a wrap is only as good as the surface you put it on.
If your vehicle is NOT Wrap Ready, we will have to charge you a cleaning fee of $500. Yes, $500 is a lot for a car wash, but our installers are unavailable to wash the vehicle until the following day. If they do that, the vehicle will also need to sit in our bay for a minimum of 4 hours before they can install graphics on it. This allows all the water to work its way out of the window seals and door handles. This will cause our deadlines to be pushed for your project and our other customers.
Alternatively, if you do not have time to wash it yourself and you do not want to pay $500 for us to wash it day-of, we do have the option for you to have it detailed by one of our detailers for the price of $200. If you choose this option, we will need the vehicle one day prior to your install so we can schedule it for our detailers.
Final Drop-off & Pre-Inspection
Your big day is finally here! Our team of expert installers are ready to transform your vehicle. After you’ve cleaned your ride, and brought it in on time, it’s time for pre-inspection. Before we accept the vehicle into our possession, we must perform a Walk Around Vehicle Inspection. One of our amazing team members will inspect the vehicle and note any: scratches, paint chips, dents, rust, worn seals, cracked or chipped windows, mirrors, and rims.
The person dropping off will need to sign the inspection form prior to leaving. If your vehicle is dropped off after hours, we will send the inspection form for a signature.
Warranty
If we determine a cause for voiding the warranty on the wrap, we will address it during the inspection. If the person delivering the vehicle is unable to sign off, please let us know prior to drop-off so we can arrange for a quick sign-off.
How to Prepare Your Vehicle for a Smooth, Efficient Install
To ensure a flawless tint job and a timely turnaround, please review and follow the steps below before your scheduled appointment.
Timing Your Drop-Off
-
Be on time. Vehicles must be dropped off at the scheduled time to keep your project on track. Our install schedule runs tight—late drop-offs may result in rescheduling, or delayed pickup times.
-
Early is better. You’re welcome to drop off the vehicle early, especially if you’d like to avoid potential delays or conflicts.
-
Need to cancel or reschedule? Please give us at least 24 hours’ notice.
Cleanliness Is Key
-
Interior: Please make sure the interior is clean, especially around the windows. Remove child seats (if possible), loose items on or near the dashboard, seats, and rear deck, and any window-mounted accessories (e.g., suction cup GPS units, phone holders). If there is significant debris we cannot ensure a clean install. However, we will do our best to prep the windows accordingly.
-
Exterior Windows: A quick rinse of the glass helps, but no wax or glass treatments prior to your appointment—they can cause adhesion issues.
-
Cold Weather Notice (if applicable): If temperatures are below freezing, allow a little extra time for drying.
Additional Notes
-
Electronics: If your vehicle has aftermarket electronics or window regulators that act up, let us know ahead of time.
-
Existing Tint: Please notify us if your vehicle has existing film that needs removal—it requires extra time and will affect pricing. We do prefer that we remove the previous tint to ensure proper removal.
-
Pets: No pets in the vehicle during drop-off or pick-up.
-
Special Requests: If you have specific shade requests or concerns, bring them up before install day so we can prepare accordingly.
Post-Install Guidelines
Do not roll down windows for at least 3–5 days after installation. A slight haze or moisture bubbles under the film are normal during the curing process (typically clears in 3–7 days depending on weather). Avoid cleaning windows for the first week. Afterward, use ammonia-free glass cleaner only.
Disclaimer
For the best installation results, we remove certain panels as part of the process. In some cases—especially with older vehicles—this can lead to clips or trim pieces breaking. We do our best to replace any broken parts within reason and appreciate your understanding.

Make Your Space Ready for Install
Your space must be prepped before your appointment. To ensure timely turnaround, it’s important that your space is ready for install.
Our shop’s fast schedule relies on getting projects completed within their specified timelines.
Space must be prepped accordingly
To avoid additional fees or delays, please prep your space by ensuring the surfaces are clear and furniture and objects are out of the way. If you have existing vinyl, wallpaper, or adhesive on the surface, please make sure to have it removed prior to your appointment.
Remember, a wrap is only as good as the surface you put it on.
If your space is NOT Install Ready, we will have to charge you a wasted trip fee of $500 or a cleaning fee of $100/hr. Yes, $500 is a lot for no work to be completed, but our installers have a very busy schedule. A wasted trip or additional cleaning will cause our deadlines to be pushed for your project and our other customers.
